Tenika Pouncie

Tenika has performed and taught from the west to east coast for over 15 years. She began performing at 13 under the instruction of Marta Jiacoletti in Modern, Ballet and Jazz. Tenika continued her studies in dance at East Carolina University where she obtained her BFA in Dance Education, during which time she studied under Joe Carrow (American Ballet Theater), Galina Panova ( Tchaikovsky Opera House, Perm and the Kirov Opera and Ballet, St. Petersburg) , Rodger Belman (Twyla Tharp) and Jeffrey Gunshol (Liz Lerman). Tenika was eager to teach students and immediately began her career as an instructor and Dance Director in a Magnet Arts school as well as with various dance studios. Along with teaching Tenika has performed with various professional companies as a member, resident and affiliate including African American Dance Ensemble, Culture Shock, Pilabilus Too, community theaters, dance companies and educational institutions. Tenika has also taught dance residencies and workshops at over 50 public schools on the East Coast, colleges recreational centers and programs for youth and adults of all ages and levels. Tenika teaches ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop and partner dances (Latin, American). She has a passion for offering dance to her community and sharing her love for the performing arts with her students.

Tekeytha Fullwood
Instructor/Assistant Director/Vocalist/Musician
West African Dance
Tekeytha has performed as a Vocalist and Dancer with KuluMele since 2009 - performed at Philadelphia's Freedom Theater, the Painted Bride and many other theaters throughout Philadelphia. With KuluMele she performed in Dance Africa at BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) in 2012 and Dance Africa in Pittsburgh, PA 2015 She has also performed as a background Vocalist and Dancer with Rotimi and de Afrophonik Rhythms Crew. Tekeytha studied various styles of African dance since 2004 with Master Teachers Youssouf Koumbassa, Djeneba Sako, Marie Basse, Denis 'LaMora' Perez, Cachet Ivey and Dandha deHora to name a few.
